We’re Recycling Wrong – here are some tips for being better

Recycling is having some problems in the west. What most people don’t realize is that we ship most of our waste to other countries to be processed but unfortunately for us, those countries aren’t taking our trash anymore and we aren’t very good at making sure that our garbage is sorted properly which keeps it from getting recycled. California Hits 33% Renewable – the state makes it’s goal of a third before 2020

Locations around the world are making moves toward more sustainable energy solutions. Slowly but surely, everyone is jumping on this bandwagon which makes sense since the alternative is. . . not good. Although there’s still a whole lot of work to be done, it’s good to celebrate the successes! California has met its goal of being 33% renewable and it did it early.

Share the Road – check out this list of things not to do when you’re driving so bikers can ride comfortably

One way to reduce or carbon footprint is to drive less. Take public transportation or, even better, bike where you need to go! This is easier said than done though because drivers make biking scary. Not everyone can switch to biking so if you’ve got to stick with your car, check out this list to make sure you’re not making the road a dangerous place for bikers.
