BubbleScope – instant 360 degree pics and videos from your smartphone

Bubblescope

BubbleScope is a clever optical attachment for your smartphone which lets you take full 360 degree photos and video with your phone camera. The device uses the BubblePix software to do the smart stuff, and it also features a tripod mount on the base to capture higher quality images under different conditions.

This is one of those products that could revolutionise the panoramic content market (think real estate, hotels, tourism etc) because it introduces a low price point product into a market which has hitherto only had expensive as an option. It’s going to need an improvement in camera phone quality too, of course, but that’s only a matter of time. Right now the technology is definitely good enough (SWF) for basic and fun use.

The developers are looking for funding right now, so there’s no guarantee that the product will see the light of day, but if it does I can see it being quite a cool gift for the right kind of people, especially as it’s expected to retail for around £50 a unit.

The BubbleScope is an optical accessory that can be attached to your smartphone enabling you to capture, share and enjoy instant 360° panoramic images and videos in a single shot – one in the eye for old style shoot and stitch 360° photography!… what really sets the BubbleScope project apart is its supporting BubblePix App and online community – what use is it being able to take instant 360° bubbles if you can’t share them?

  • Maybe they should work on inventing a wind mic first. ;-)

  • I strictly recommend not to hold off until you get big sum of cash to buy all you need! You should take the credit loans or student loan and feel yourself free
