1 Million Free and Legal Music TracksNoSushi interview: (can be found here: http://zikweb.org/article.php?sid=39) How did the band form and come up with the name NoSushi? I took the name from a play on word in French, "No-Souçis" which turned to be NoSushi. How long has the band been around? I am now going on my 10th year as a producer. How have the people closest to you reacted to your music? Some like to see it as a mirror of myself, other take it as if it was not me playing (laughs...) If you were not musician's what would you be? Probably an IT project manager (which I am actually doing for earning my living) Who or what inspired you to become musicians? At the age of 5, my parents gave me my first piano lessons. I was much more interested by the toys above the piano than playing sounds with this instrument. Then as a kid, I was fascinated with live music. From the times I used to listen to vinyl record with my parents. To the times I used to go see bands like depeche mode or cure in the 80's. I was always involved in music before sports or any other activities. When can we expect some new music from NoSushi? On October , 2005. The name of the album is not defined yet Can fans get the album online? Yes, by going to zikweb.org What are some of your favorite tracks? There are about 4-5 songs that stand out the most to me! "World Citizen" (David Sylvian, Ryuichi Sakamoto), "Only" (Nine inch Nails), Sowing the seeds of love (Tears for fears), Windfall (Dead can dance), Inja (Korn)... What are your Three favorite NoSushi songs and why? I honestly don't have any particular favorite songs! They are all part of my life. Or even better: are sides of my lives. What do you do to relax when you are on tour? Besides playing, I sleep & drive! Do you remember where and what your first concert was like and how has the band improved since the first show? My first real show was at a local cafe in my hometown. Since then, I've added a complete different spectrum to my music with the control section. I would say that it's a definite improvement. Where do you see the band in 10 years? In ten years? Hopefully, still playing bigger lives... If I stranger asked you to describe your music how would you do so? It's ambient influenced by house music & dark culture. What do you like best about being a musician? I get to share my art with others who appreciate it. I get to perform live and make people happy. how helpful do you feel online sites are in helping to promote bands like NoSuhi?? Nowaday's, it's probably more effective than actually being in the newspaper or something. The internet has revolutionized the way bands and people in general can obtain and share information. It's definitely the most helpful tool out there for resources, communication and information. Do you have anything to say to the fans of NoSushi? Don't miss next shows ! Thanks for your time I wish you loads of success! |
