Postcards – send a snail mail postcard to anywhere direct from your camera phone

Postcards

I just love this cool new free Postcards app for Android and iPhone. Just install it from the relevant marketplace, and you can then instantly convert any photo you take into a postcard which the company will mail for you through the postal service.

Take the pic. Fire up the app and select it. Flip it over on-screen, add your choice of text (wish you were here?) and an address, either directly or from your contact book and press send. You’re directed to a Paypal payment window, after which the photo is sent to the company for stamping and posting.

Prices range from £0.99 domestic to £1.49 international, which is not too outrageous at all considering the service and coolness. Smartphones starting to add real value to lifestyle eh?

It is so simple; the user selects the image by either taking a new photo or selects from the phone library. They then flip the postcard over and can input a personalised message on the back. Lastly they insert the postal address of where the postcard is to be card sent to. We will then print and post the card the same day. The application itself is free and we charge only £0.99p per card and this includes postage to anywhere in the world. Please note: we ONLY accept payment via paypal so you need to know your username and password to make this application work!

  • There's a company in the US that does this and more – albeit without a slick iPhone app (as of yet) – called Postful.
