The Gentile collection is an awe inspiring selection of tiny – playable – instruments made by someone with far too much time on their hands. OK just kidding. The six various instruments in the collection are 1/7th scale miniatures, which are perfect down to the scratches and markings. This is a lovely little pictorial report doing the rounds at the moment which may point the way towards the phone use (and users) of the future. It’s based on observations in Japan and basically shows a nation obsessed with their tiny mobile phone gadgets – and they do seem to have a few!

Hmmm, not sure about this one. A company here in the UK has just announced a flat pack house which you can build from scratch in a week. It apparently uses specially factory crafted panels to speed up the process. It looks to be a development of this technology with a few tweaks. What I want to know is, when you want to move can you take it with you?
