Tavelling

Travellin’ again! Normal service resumes 10th November. Ciao. psst…I may try and post in the interim if I get the opportunity, but I simply may not have the time. Camera breakthrough promises and threatens…

The online technology section of the Telegraph newspaper is reporting on a new camera developed in the UK that can ‘see through clothes, skin and even walls without X-rays.’ Apparently models costing the same as digital cameras could be on the market in a matter of years, which could revolutionise medical practice, not to mention law enforcement. iMob

The iMob car security system will phone your mobile to alert you if your car is stolen. You can then choose to immobilise it via your phone by entering in a special code number. Bid to have lunch with Jack Valenti

Fed up with the posturing of the entertainment industry in the every widening ‘war against media piracy?’ Then why not bid to have lunch with Jack Valenti, president of the Motion Pictures Association of America, who with Hilary Rosen of the RIAA make up the most public part of the crusade against technology? The Lunch with a Leader online auction is a charitable initiative which is offering all sorts of celebrity lunches for our delectation. The bid for Valenti currently…

More on hydrogen cars

I tell you it’s definitely a plot to wean us away from petrol. Yet another mainstream media article on hydrogen powered vehicles, this time detailing the unveiling here of the Ford Focus FCV Hybrid 2002. One thing does occur to me. Won’t the roads become even more congested once the awful, smelly, expensive, politically volatile petroleum products disappear and clean air, water producing, seagull friendly alternatives arrive? How’s that going to work then?
