Look out for a range of new Panasonic SD cards with embedded Picsel file viewers and browsers on them soon. The deal between the two companies looks like the start of a push to let PDA and Smartphone owners upgrade their file access abilities just by buying a new SD card with the ePage technology built in. Clever.

FujiFilm has announced this cool little DPC-UD1 FinePix Card [warning: Japanese site], which is a USB flash memory drive which accepts xD cards. These little gizmos are fab, just so useful for moving stuff around, storing data etc since all you need to do is swap out cards once they’re full. Lovely. [via digitlife]

US company Tapwave has started leaking details of its upcoming Palm powered games console/PDA hybrid, Helix. It will feature Bluetooth, a high resolution screen, and two SD card slots for Palm type add-on functionality. Who knows, it may even look something like this unnamed graphic header at the X-Forge site – It’s obviously targeted at execs who want a bit more from their PDA, especially since it will happily sync using Palm sync software. The Wallflower Wifi picture frame is really cool. It’s big (12.1 inch LCD), contains a hard disk to store your digital photos, but also has WiFi to make it easy to transfer photos from your PC to the frame. Pricey though at $649.00. Fujifilm has just announced the new S5000 Zoom, which is a compact SLR type digicam with 3.1 megapixel (6 megapixel recorded with Fujifilm’s HR tech) and xD card storage. But what’s really impressive in a box this small is the 37-370mm equivalent 10x optical zoom capability. That’s awesome, and I predict that if the price is right this one will fly off the shelves.
