Designer digicam.

How low can digital cameras go in price? How about 75.00 for a 3 megapixel model? The D’zign DX-338 [Japanese] offers a straight down the line laundry list of features at a knock down price. The other knock down feature, however, is the rather naff picture quality. Check out the shopping mall shot on the right for proof.

Apple bites tablet.

The inimitable Monsieur Cringely believes that Apple are about to introduce a tablet computer that will act as the digital hub in your home. Me, I’m agnostic. ‘The tablet PC killer app for the mass market is functioning as a digital hub, a general concept both Apple and Microsoft have been pushing for a couple years. It’s the idea that your computer ought to control your TV and your stereo and your VCR.’

Lovemarks.

Mr Saatchi believes that ‘brands have run out of juice’. Therefore he proposes Lovemarks. ‘ Lovemarks are the answer to everything that’s wrong with marketing and advertising. At the core of every Lovemark is Respect. A Lovemarks high Respect is infused with these three intangible, yet very real, ingredients: Mystery, Sensuality and Intimacy.’ You still awake at the back there?

Dishy doshy.

Call me old fashioned, but I think that putting a dishwasher into a sink is a simply brilliant idea. And certainly one better than putting the dish washer in front of a sink. With yellow gloves on. The Briva.

MP3 lives?

Aww, it looks like the folks at CNET are going to do the right thing by MP3.com. Lifesaver.

The Philips Heartstart. The scary thing is not that they’re selling home heart defibrillators, but that ‘every 2 minutes someone in America’ needs one. ‘More than 70% of sudden cardiac arrests occur at home. Available by prescription, the HeartStart Home Defibrillator is designed for use by virtually anyone to help save a life.’ Peace of mind (& heart) for a mere $2,295.00.

Sticky keys?

Wow, the Chapman Stick instrument looks really cool. OK, so the prices start at a pretty hefty $1600.00 or so, but look at the videos to get an idea of just how neat it sounds when played with gusto. Almost like a one mad…sorry…man band.

Find it, fool!

Look get this straight. Radar equipped golf balls are for wimps. You wanna play golf, you need a challenge. A real challenge. Camo Balls. That’s right, camouflaged golf balls. Go find that, sucka! $10.99 for three. Classic. ‘As soon as you tee off, the ball blends in with the fairway to become darn-near invisible.’

British name drain?

Oh good grief, who would have thought it. Our great British heritage being sold off bit by bit to the Americans. Weetabix, Branston, Hartleys, Gales, Typhoo, Rowntrees and Ambrosia. Quick, someone call the Queen. [via Rogi]

Fuji goodness.

I can remember when 6 megapixels was about as professional a camera as you could possibly hope to afford. Now the new Fujifilm F610 proudly offers 6 megap’s (enhanced ‘to achieve a recorded output of 12 million pixels’) to any Tom, Dick or Harriet. Sheesh!
