TV dinner?

So there we all are, standing in front of our LG GR-G217BTBA TV Fridge with its 13 inch LCD screen and built in speakers, watching Friends and eating pasta. For hours. Just chillin’.

eBay parasites.

Fascinating piece from Gizmo looking at the growing number of sales services springing up to satisfy the massive eBay phenomenon. Places like AuctionDrop, DropShop and AuctionWagon will take your article, auction and despatch it to the buyer it for a variable fee. We reported on AuctionDrop a while ago, and this latest news just confirm what we said then. This is one area that I predict will simply explode over the coming 2 years, once people realise that they can…

The V-mouse 101 [Babel] from Tex is a high resolution (read 1000 dpi) 2 button, USB mouse. The high definition is apparently the reason why you can use it in the woods with your dog. I think! Perhaps this fellow is a victim of a Wifi enabled forest?

Geek alert.

You Norwegian ‘straights’ better watch out. Because you’re about to host the world’s biggest geek party – The Gathering. Strictly no Armani, I suspect. ‘The Gathering is the largest computerparty in the world. Last year, 5200 visitors attended the annual event which takes place at Vikingskipet Olympic Arena in Hamar, Norway, and lasts for five consecutive days. The Gathering (or “TG” for short) as been arranged since 1991 and has always been a hub for young creative people to battle…

Doctor on call.

The Pocket Doctor service is apparently the world’s first mobile telephony health information service. It’s also now being offered on mobile phones by Vodafone Live, which must make it the world’s first GSM/GPRS GP. If they add satellite tracking to it, will it become the world’s first GSM/GPRS/GPS GP? Joking aside, it looks quite useful in some ways. For instance you can receive information via SMS or WAP covering everything from medical diagnosis to helping you to kick the smoking…

Heavy metal.

They’re billing the Titanium VISA credit card as the one you can design online. Not just the front piccie either, you can also select repayment options, annual fee and rates interactively via a Java interface. Still a bit of a gimmick really, but it would be nice to see this concept extended properly to all sorts of financial services. For instance I bet a lot of people would really like to re-design their bank manager.
