The Hand Band.

The Hand Band. Back in the day we were lucky to get a cracked glass, cheese grater and rusting thimble to play with. And karaoke was the sound we made when the thimble wore through. Tsk! $99.95.  Any child can compose songs out of thin air simply by moving the fingers of these musical gloves. The soft fabric gloves can be set to guitar, keyboard, or drums; each finger plays a different note (within a two-octave range) or drumbeat, and transmits to the…

Now can we have our lava lamp back, please mister?  Why wouldn’t it be cool to see a rotary phone, ringing, with no wires attached? It might mess with your brain a bit. Turns out I am very glad there is no such thing as a cellular rotary phone – the dialing takes forever! And here in Colorado – on a 10-digit dialing system – you…

Spherical objects.

Free Spirit Spheres. Er..kind of tree houses with attitude. [Via J-Walk]  It’s a marriage of treehouse and sailboat technology. The wooden spheres are built much like a cedar strip canoe or kayak. The suspension points on the spheres are similar to the chain plate attachments on a sailboat. The stairways are hung from the tree much like a sailboats shrouds hang from the mast.
