Micro processor.

OK, so let me get this straight. Texas Instruments has just launched it’s new ultra low power micro-controller, the MSP430F20xx. So it’s a 16 bit, 16 MIPS unit with 128kB of RAM in a 4×4 mm – yes millimetre – footprint. 16 MIPS? Good grief, my desktop had a lower spec than that a few years ago.

SmugMug Maps. A nice hack of a commercial service which combines Google Maps with 32 million photos to provide a geo-oriented images map. Cool indeed.   smugMaps is easily one of the most fun features we’ve added to smugmug.
