Powershoes bounce back – spring is sprunged

The Chinese manufacturers of Powershoes have moved onto the 2nd generation version. Which means they’ll hold big adults now as well as kids. Personally I’m a bit Elmer Fud over this product, but if you wanna make like Bugs, go ahead. Enjoy!  With a pair of Powerishoes/Flyjumper on your feet you’ll be able to move like a superhero. The soar in adrenaline you feel when a small jump takes you high in the air above the tree is impossible to describe – it has…

Klokoo is an online alarm clock which delivers your choice of RSS news feeds for you to read on wakening, plus a selection of different alarm sounds (including a Hip-Hop music setting). Yes you need an Internet connection and your computer running for this, but why think logically when you can think *geek*, eh? [Thanks Vincent]  You can now add a valid rss/atom feed of your choice! The selected feed will be saved in a cookie so that the next time…

Wiredness – online photo editing done ultra minimalist

The Wiredness online image editor has an incredibly spartan interface. Just a menu bar. No sign up, no fuss, just upload the photo and start tweaking. Nice. Oh and there’s an API too.   The Wiredness system includes a simple API which allows other web applications to pass through the information for an image. This will allow the user to modify that image using the Wiredness system and then save that image back to the calling web application. They can also chose…

Joost – like television but not

I’ve been giving the beta of Joost a trial over the past few days. Just in case you missed it, Joost is the newest application from the folks who gave us Skype. It’s an online television service based around Peer2Peer technology (and why not…?) which is being hyped as the next huge thing in online entertainment. First impressions? Um…it’s OK. The video quality is all right – think somewhat better than average YouTube in a larger image size – and the content…

Elvis Duck – the mood light that binges?

The Elvis Duck. Not only does he look like a duck, but he signs autographs, croons on demand, plays Vegas 3 months of the year and promises that you won’t be lonesome tonite (rats, we allowed a song reference to creep in). £6.95 says you won’t find a more risible duck anywhere this side of Xmas.  Thankfully the makers of the madcap Elvis Duck have obviously got more time on their hands because they’ve successfully united the King and an…

Blog Flux Commentful – track your comments from the status bar

Blog Flux Commentful is a new service that monitors all the various comments you make on blogs and forums via a neat Firefox extension or a bookmarklet. It makes it super easy to keep track of questions you’ve  asked or comments you’ve made around the Web by storing all of them in one location. It’s not the first of its kind, but I like the simplicity of the implementation. Nice.  Install the FireFox extension. Whenever you are on a page you…

The good folk at Grisoft have released the AVG Anti-Rootkit product which will locate and remove rootkit malware from your computer. Dog Fridge – fragrant, musical kid’s playground

The Dog Refrigerator is proof that you can make anything child friendly just by putting a cute nose on it. This appliance goes a little further than that though, since it also features music when you open the door, an electronic calculator and alarm clock on the nose, a ‘magic box’ and an antiseptic fragrance feature. Not so much a fridge, then, and more a way of life. Tags: refridgerator

The Memo Pen combines a standard pen with a cartridge containing a 2 foot long by 2” wide roll of paper. No more hunting for a scrap or envelope to scribble on, just pull out and tear off your own notelet. Good luck with finding paper refills though.
