Geessee – online chat done pretty

Geesee is a new free web chat service from Slovakia which is pretty neat. The chat service is fairly conventional, but the developers have been pretty clever about adding a lot of viral features like widget plug-ins for blogs and advert revenue sharing for website owners. They’re also trying some aggressive web marketing (they approached the Ferret to offer us some free advertising if we blogged it. Needless to say we’re People Ready, so we instantly agreed to pump it to the…

Quick games, classic games, Flash, Java, you name it, you’ll find it from here in a couple of clicks. The one thing it desperately needs, however, is some sort of Top 20 chart to help you choose out of the thousands of games out there. Most of the stuff is free,…

USB Mouse on Bike – type faster or the rodent gets it

The USB Mouse on Bike is…uh…a small creature which pedals faster if you type faster. It also keeps a tally of your daily word count as you type. Strictly one for those lonely, despairing wannabe authors who are trudging through the grind of producing a first novel, methinks. Around $35.00 in Danish stuff.   Connect cyclist USB mouse to the USB port on your computer, and the faster you type, the faster he pedals! He also keeps record of your daily…

Mopay, the cell phone graveyard – how fast the mighty fall

Mopay is a mobile phone recycling service which buys unwanted handsets and sells them on to developing nations while donating a sum to charity. Nothing particularly new there, but what is interesting is just how fast your precious handset can plummet in price. A quick search on the site, for instance, shows that the Nokia E61 handset, barely 16 months old, is worth just £55.10 in working condition and £27.55 non-working. Blackberry Pearl? £37.50. I’ll be watching this site carefully post 29 June….

AceMoney Lite – free software tracks where the money’s at

AceMoney Lite is a free ‘personal finance manager’. Of course that doesn’t mean that a nice looking chap with sensible shoes will turn up on your doorstep once you download the program, but it does suggest that you will be able to organise, budget and track your household expenses in any of 14 languages. And good luck with that, eh?  AceMoney Lite is a freeware personal finance manager. It has all the features of its big brother except multiple accounts management….

The iPhone Roadmap – forecast through rosy tinted lenses

Just for fun I’ve been toying with a tongue in cheek iPhone roadmap for a few days. But it is this excellent and extremely well thought out iPhone market evaluation from Tomi Ahonen that has inspired me to publish it. [Thanks to Information Architects for the above image.] iPhone Roadmap June 29 2007. iPhone launch. 750,000 sold in first week. Steve Jobs dubs it “the most successful Apple launch of all time”. Price $600.00 for 8 GB model with 2 megapixel camera, 2.5 G,…

Bikeboard – year round extreme transport fun

The Bikeboard is a versatile little puppy, which converts from a standard 3 wheeler buggy to a snow board and water ski device as the weather or your needs change. The video shows it off nicely, although the water ski conversion looks a little like hard work. Priced at €2200.00, and watch out for an electric version which is apparently on the way from the Swiss manufacturers. Now if only it converted automatically in mid flight like a Transformer….whoooo!  Incredible Fun any time of the year!…
