Dexrex – free tool for archiving your IM conversations

Dexrex is a rather clever freeware tool for archiving your instant messaging and SMS chats. It’s a hosted online application, which integrates with your IM clients via a set of downloadable plugins. Just download, install and start up MSN, AIM, Skype or whatever and the chat will be recorded and stored to the Dexrex servers automatically. You can import old conversations (via a Java applet) and once your chats are stored you have full search facilities available to locate stuff…

Micro-Vett Doblo Electric Vehicle – electric powered MPV features decent looks and specs at last

The Micro-Vett Doblo Electric Vehicle looks reasonably decent and, wonder of wonders, comes with a fairly decent set of specifications too. It seats five including the driver, has a top speed of 120 km/h and a range of around 150 km in the city. The standard batteries charge up in 5 to 8 hours depending on the charger used. OK, so it’s not a perfect all-round vehicle, but we’re getting there. Slowly. Here’s a video showing a super fast 10…

SafeManuals. A heap of downloadable PDF manuals for gadgets, electronic products and assorted appliances. If you can’t find something, perhaps you can upload a manual yourself and help the database grow. Pretty cool stuff.  Internet is filled with information, scattered in no particular order. SafeManuals tries to partially solve this problem by allowing everyone to find user manuals from all manufacturers in one place. They are not always available on the manufacturer site, and some of them only offer manuals…

InSuggest – fast simple Flickr image and site finder

InSuggest. A new online Flickr image and site finder which works through a clever graphical drag and drop interface. Select a site or image that you like and the service will serve up a selection of similar material based on the likes of other users. It’s no Stumbleupon and nothing is as fast as a standard text link search, but it’s quite nicely done and the UI is impressively slick. Worth a look.  Images insuggest is a fun way to browse images from Flickr. Select a…

Not only that but you can export it to spreadsheets and other database type structures for later assimilation. In practice we found this product to be promising but…
