Dell Inspiron Mini 9 3G – Review

The new Dell Inspiron Mini 9 with 3G is, on the face of it, much of a muchness as far as small computers go. It’s pretty hard to find any real differentiation between mini notebooks when all of them use the same processor, same screens and similar storage and memory specs. However the Dell stands out because of a) the name, b) the fact that it’s the one which will probably sell the most via the company’s corporate connections, c)…

Sketchory – 250,000 free drawings for sharing

The awesome new Sketchory site offers up 250,000 drawings, doodles and sketches which can be shared, remixed and generally utilised for free under a Creative Commons attribution license. You can’t use more than 1000 in your projects, but you can use the images commercially, which is very generous. They need help with tagging, and be prepared for some…ah…rather rough efforts, but it’s a superb effort all round and deserves to be hugely successful. Oh and check out the cool animation…

Free Audio Editor 2009 is a freeware audio editing program. Like what more is there to say? It lets you edit audio files (duh!), record audio, burn audio CDs and can handle MP3, WMA, WAV and OGG. It’s got a cutesy user interface for those who like colourful, but doesn’t have the kind of extensive plugin support you get with Audacity, which will make it of limited interest to those who take their audio editing seriously. Pretty isn’t it?  Handy pocket scale with counting function and backlight display. Tags: gadget, eks+pocket+scale, weighing+machine
