The Fingerist – turn your mobile phone into a lean, mean music machine

The Fingerist is a cute looking adapter for the iPhone which converts the handset into a musical instrument controller. Basically you get to look all rock and roll as you strum your guitar app, and because it’s also got an internal speaker you get to hear the sound with more unforgiving clarity than using the standard phone speaker. The device can also be used as a standard audio speaker. Priced at $150.00, but there appears to be some production delays with the project…

It comes in 3 sizes priced at $149.95, but we’ve got a feeling it probably won’t help you beat these Korean pro gamers any time soon.  The PEREGRINE allows you to trigger…

HDBaseT – new standard to replace ‘ageing’ HDMI home A/V interface

So the people in the home audio visual industries have just come together again to agree a new cable and interface standard called HDBaseT to replace HDMI. Aw c’mon people, you’re having us on right? You expect everyone to throw away their new flat screen television, set top boxes and other living room A/V peripherals next year just to ‘upgrade’ to the new standard? Dream on. Candwich – Yes it’s a canned sandwich

Too busy to stop and eat? Need food that will fit in the beer cooler? Never mind, you can always try the Candwich. Comes in three different, long-life, ready-to-eat varieties; Peanut Butter and Strawberry Jelly Jam, Peanut Butter and Grape Jam and BBQ Chicken(?!). I wonder if the stuff in the can looks like the picture? Each meal is about 90g so it’s more a snack rather than a three course meal. Does anyone know if Nostradamus predicted anything about…

T.27 City Car – electric cars get the Formula One treatment

This is the T.27 City Car, designed by Formula One designer Gordon Murray. It features a Zytek Automotive electric drivetrain (probably similar to the one in the Smartfortwo EV) which will propel the vehicle to 105 km/h and give it a range of 80 –  100 miles. A running prototype is scheduled to hit the asphalt in April next year, no news on pricing yet. The thing is based around the rather cools T.25 City Car which is a conventionally powered…
