Paintbrush for the iPad

There are tons of artists out there who are intimidated by the old-fashioned tools and mediums. Mixing paints is much more of a hassle anymore, and buying a ton of paint and canvas can get expensive for those who want to paint just for the fun of it. The iPad wants you to be able to create some masterpieces, and not be reduced to finger-painting anymore For a bit of a throwback combined with our fancy-dancy iPad, we will now…

Transformers – 3D glasses in disguise

The next movie for Transformers is due to come out on July 1st, but the 3D effect never seems to get you involved enough in the movie. Until now. Hasbro has partnered with Real-D to produce Transformers-themed 3D glasses that will help you experience the supposed final movie of this series in a whole new way. You can show up to the theater on opening night as Optimus Prime or Bumble Bee for only $9.99. Apparently they don’t want anyone…

Facebook Messenger iPhone App

When bored with nothing to do, we all fall victim to browsing around on Facebook for hours without actually talking to anyone we know. Just catching up on statuses while on the bus is nice, but when you see that someone you havent talked to in forever is online, you dont want to pop up in their chat only to be ignored. Thats why theres now a more direct approach through a new Facebook app that lets you call your…

Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda clock concept helps you stay on track

In the busy world that we live in, its very important for us to keep on top of our daily tasks. That being said, we usually arent too good about keeping up with it regardless of how many post-its, calendars, and planners we have. Swedish design student Maria Bergstrom has created the Shoulda, Woulda, Coulda clock concept to be a bit more visible or a reminder to get things done. Cubelets are the toy building blocks of the future

Being creative is one of the most important things during your childhood, I think. That’s why toys like K’NEX and LEGOs are always popular with kids. Both examples are great for building stationary objects that look cool, but most creations don’t actually do much. So if you’re looking for some toys that let you be creative, and actually do something when you’re finished, you might look at these Cubelets. These small building blocks are unique from other creative blocks in…

Windows 7 SP1 releasing today

If you’re a Windows 7 user, get ready for a big update coming down the pipe later today. Microsoft is releasing the first service pack for their latest OS. Surprisingly, there isn’t a lot to be seen in this. Unless you are running Windows Server, it’s mostly just minor tweaks and bugfixes. To be honest, I won’t be updating my machines today, or even tomorrow. I’ve seen too many botched service pack updates from Microsoft to install them on day…

SonarLocID Keyboard adds security to your desktop

Does your keyboard try and put your data security as number one on its priority list? No? Then you might want to look into getting a SonarLocID Keyboard that can not only detect when you leave the workstation, but also log you off automatically when youre gone. This may be a little annoying, but for the extra security, its not too bad of a trade-off. Philips Wake Up Light

Waking up in the morning is possibly one of the hardest things to do. The warm covers, all snug and cozy around you, and the serene darkness that fills the room. When were asleep is the only time we ever get any peace and quiet it seems. An alarm that wakes you up to sirens that make you think the world is ending is never a good way to start the day. The Philips Wake-up Light is the perfect way…

Buffalo’s MiniStation drives mount to the back of your TV

TV’s that can do more than just display movies and cable TV are becoming more and more common. One great feature that’s becoming more prominent is the ability to record video directly to a USB-connected hard drive. If you’re like me, you’re happy to not need another device lying around, but an external hard drive can still ruin that perfect balance that you have going on your entertainment center. So where do you hide your drive? Why not just mount…

Google Documents now supports .psd, .xls and 10 other file formats

Have you ever tried to open an image that someone’s sent you, only to realize that it’s .psd file, and you don’t have Photoshop installed on your computer? It’s an expensive piece of software, so not everyone is going to have a copy. Well you’ll be happy to know that if this happens again, you can just turn to Google Docs. That’s right, the search giant has announced support for .psd and 11 other file types. This is why I…

iPhone LiveRider adds a HUD to your bike

I’m waiting for warmer weather for a lot of reasons, including the ability to go biking again without being frozen. It’s a great way to exercise, and a pretty decent way to get around town, depending on where you live. But wouldn’t it be nice to have information like your speed, distance traveled and time spent riding? You can, if you have the iPhone LiveRider. The LiveRider is a combination of an app and a few pieces of special hardware….

SoloWheel is a self-balancing unicycle

There are a lot of people movers out there that claim to be beneficial to those of us that just don’t feel like walking. They are usually very bulky and look terribly awkward when in use though. The SoloWheel is the smallest and most convenient people mover that I’ve seen to date. It runs off of rechargeable Lithium-ion battery, and has a compact design with two folding foot platforms. This is very lightweight at only twenty pounds and has a…
