The Free Universal Construction Kit is a brilliant way to connect your Lego to other kits

The beauty of building kits like Lego and Duplo is the fact that they unleash the imagination in ways that ordinary battery driven playthings can never do. Over the years the number of different building kits around the world has multiplied hugely, and one of the sad things is each manufacturer deliberately makes their kit incompatible with others in order to build their own empire. We all lose.

Transceiver for iPhone is the walkie talkie from your childhood

Do you remember using a walkie talkie as a kid? It was so exciting to talk to your friend who was less than ten feet away, because you got to push that little button on the side when you wanted to talk, and got to say “roger” here and there. The Transceiver for iPhone is quite reminiscent of those days, when people used CB radios instead of email and cell phones.

Mouse Magnifier helps you see life more clearly

There comes a time in everyone’s life when they stop seeing things clearly. Politicians, bankers, Charlie Sheen’s PR manager, they’ve all suffered from the problem at one time or another. And so too the rest of us, even if not now, then one day. And when that moment arrives, we’re going to need help, of the mechanical kind, to get us through it.

Every Time Zone is a super cool way to track time around the world

Every Time Zone is a great way to track the time zones across the world quickly and easily. What makes it especially cool is the fact that you can move a slider along the time line to check different times in world regions before they happen, which is very useful for arranging conference call timings with foreign locations. It also sports one of the easiest interfaces I’ve ever seen for identifying dateline changes. If you’ve ever had to call Australia from the Europe and struggled…

Fulljoin NMP001 is probably the strangest little Linux TV in the world

There’s something a little strange about this Fulljoin NMP001 Internet radio. For oen thing it’s not just a radio. It also supports Internet television streaming, which you can enjoy (we use the word in a liberal sense) on the integrated 2.4 inch LCD display. As if that wasn’t enough, the device is actually Linux powered, and the makers claim that it will happily tune in to over 20,000 radio stations and 2000 TV stations on the Net.

S3FM turns your Amazon S3 storage into a low cost online radio station

Just a few years ago, the cost of online storage was ridiculously high and the idea of setting up a streaming multimedia service like a radio station was out of the question unless you had deep pockets or a rich backer. My how times have changed. The launch of Amazon’s powerful and incredibly aggressively priced S3 online cloud storage service really changed the landscape, and encouraged a bunch of services and applications to launch to the world.

AquaGlow Pool Fountain will bring some pizazz to your party

We got to look at a product that could quite possibly make a very impressive light show with the Professionally Choreographed Orchestral Fountain, but it was a little too expensive for those of us with a normal income. Not to mention that you needed to purchase the entire fountain to enjoy the light show, so it was either all or nothing. For those of you that have a pool and would like a cheaper version of this water and light…

Portable Water And Surface Sanitizer is perfect for germophobes

If you are frequently on the road or in the air, you may be forced to buy bottled water, as some tap water sources can be a bit questionable. Normally, this is only a problem found in a few foreign countries, but it’s likely better to play it safe than sorry. Buying individual filters can be a pain, so why not purchase something that is going to keep producing the same quality without having to wonder if it needs a…
