Every now and then we come across a product which really does qualify for the title of ‘gadget’, either because it’s so cool or it is so completely outrageous. We’re not sure exactly where this little 3-in-1 Smart Box lies on the line, but it’s definitely very interesting.

The tiny box first off functions as a pretty standard Bluetooth wireless speaker, so you can listen to your sounds through a slightly better speaker than the one in your smartphone. But to add spice to your life, the thing will also double up as a remote shutter, which you can use to trigger your phone camera from a distance. Perfect for selfies, right?

But it’s the last feature we like the most. The ability to act as a phone tether, which will sound an alarm if you leave your phone somewhere by accident and wander off. The speaker will emit the alarm if your handset moves more than 10 meters away, and you can also use this part of the app to locate your phone by triggering an alarm. Neat.
