3D Printed Hemp Homes – the future is in hemp

Since we’ve gone green we’ve talked a lot about hemp products but before the switch you remember remember we were fans of the 3D printing technology, in particular, that of buildings. We’re still in that and one company has plans to print hemp buildings.

This is still in development but the company, Mirreco is looking to build residential and commercial properties using 3D printed hemp panels. Hemp is a carbon neutral material that has applications in a number of industries.

The future homes would be built in a matter of weeks. Hemp itself grows quickly and is incredibly good at absorbing carbon. There is no news on when the company hopes to roll out this technology.
