3D printing is really cool but if you don’t know how to use the software, you may be at a loss when it comes to what to print. That’s cool, the Smithsonian has got you covered. Print off some of their collection right at home, all you have to do is download the model files.
The famous museum has scanned in a number of their artifacts and created model files for them. They’re up for viewing online where you can get a good look at sea specimens, old technology, and statues from all sides right from your browser. If you want a more hands on approach, you can download the model files and print them out yourself.
