80 Gigapixels London – tour London from the comfort of your couch

80gigapixellondon

80 Gigapixel London is currently the world’s largest 360 degree panorama image. And it’s huge. Big enough to tour the whole capital from your mouse and armchair. Swooping and zooming in and out is incredibly good fun, especially when you happen across moments of poignancy or just everyday stuff of city life and people.

There’s a Treasure Hunt coming up this Thursday with prizes, so have a go, see if you can find all the clues. And don’t forget to take the cool Tour. Enjoy!

This is an 80-gigapixel panoramic photo, made from 7886 individual images. This panorama was shot from the top of the Centre Point building in central London, in the summer of 2010. We hope that the varied sights and energy of London have been captured here in a way never done before, so that you can experience one of the world’s great cities – wherever you may be right now.
