Tunefeed – share the music love

Tunefeed. There’s something about this simple music sharing application that appeals to this Ferret. Emotionally. Subliminally. Viscerally even. It’s either the cute and very functional music player widget that you can embed on your web site to share your own MP3 music with the world, or the fact that I cannot for the life of me work out how this is 100% legal. Ah well…  Quick & Easy music sharing Share your music on any website – TuneFeeds make music…

Fix your own mobile phone.

DIY cell phone repair. How to dismantle, repair and upgrade your mobile phone. Yourself. On your own. With no help. Just some tools and a torn up warranty. [Via Monkeyfilter] Oh, and the Home of Phone Dismantling may also be useful also.  Generally, dismantling phones is fairly simple, but care must be taken, and you undertake any dismantles entirely at your own risk. If you do decide to dismantle your phone, for whatever reason, please bear in mind that you…

Tabblo.

I have to say I like the concept of the new Tabblo photo service because they’re trying to be a bit different. And especially because it’s not yet another, yawn, Flickr clone. Instead of relying on storage capacity, tags or whatever, the service provides some interesting editing and layout tools and templates to let you create something tasteful, dare we say arty, from your images. You can then purchase posters or other print items to prove your talent to all. It feels…

Photo tips from a pro.

Brit photographer Neil Turner gives some useful and detailed photography tips to demonstrate how professionals get the kind of results we see in the mags and papers. Definitely useful as a starting point, although to follow his lead means investing in a fair amount of kit.  In the spirit of the Internet, I want to share my experience as a photographer so every month I post a collection of my most interesting images shot in the previous 28 days as well as…

Retro games.

Full Screen Classic Games. Flash maestro Paul Neave has done a superb job producing a selection of eight classic online video games of yore, including Simon, Space Invaders (full screen, yay!), Frogger and Asteroids. As superb a way to waste your Friday afternoon as any, believe me. A gem. [via Blog Quebecois]  It’s a simple game with simple graphics, but it has one of the most vital assets for any computer game: gameplay. Modern games seem to forget this with their…

Online Alarm Clock.

The Online Alarm Clock. This ain’t the first online clock we’ve featured, but it may be one of the most useful. Just a set of very large numerals and an alarm setting function (with a very annoying alarm sound). Deffo worth a bookmark. [via Digg]

VideoJug. Super cool idea, a video tutorial site covering everything from DIY (e.g. how to fix a leaking tap) to food and recipes (e.g. how to make Sushi). Crucially, you can download the video to your iPod or mobile phone to keep the tips on hand as you travel. Great concept, well done and here’s wishing them all the best. Web video at last comes of age. [Via Metafilter]  VideoJug is every aspect of life explained and illustrated through an…
