Tech Cleaning Throw is the ultimate lounging accessory

We all like to sit cuddled up with our tablet or phone to read through our normal sites. However, when you’ve been at it for about an hour or so, your screen starts to get smudged up with fingerprints. Using a screen cleaning cloth would be ideal, but it normally gets stuffed in a desk drawer and your shirt is used instead, merely smearing around what was already on the screen rather than cleaning it off.

Leather Pocket Protector – release your rugged inner-nerd

There are some things that are just iconic with the term “nerd”. Thick glasses, suspenders, pants that aren’t long enough, and pocket protectors. How it ever became a fashion trend is something I don’t think I’ll ever quite understand, but most fashion seems questionable anyhow. If you’re looking to step up your level of nerd-ness, then there’s an almost-unseen accessory that you might want in your inventory.

KONG On/Off Squeaker Dog Toy might save your sanity

Dogs of all ages are lovable friends. They hang out, exercise, and try to eat meals with us on a daily basis. While we can’t spend every waking moment by their side, we can make sure they’re entertained. Toys of all different shapes and sizes are out there, but the ones that squeak always seem to be of more interest to our furry friends. However, that sound can start to grate on your nerves after a while.

Wikipedia Zero – sending knowledge out to the world via SMS

We had no idea that the Wikipedia Foundation offers the encyclopedia’s knowledge free of charge to the world, via the Wikipedia Zero initiative. The idea is for the Foundation to partner with mobile phone operators and avoid people having to pay data charges for the information. It’s obviously targeted to people in the developing countries, who don’t have access to hardware, services and funds to pay for Internet access.

You’ve just finished setting up your perfect entertainment system. Everything is sitting just about where you want it, except for the fact that you wish it could be flush with the wall. The only thing standing between you and that seamless-looking glory is one fat plug that juts out from the outlet.

The Back of the Door Cabinet will take up some wasted space

While we don’t want our homes to be topped to the brim with junk, we don’t want to waste the space that we have. For those of us on limited square footage, every storage space counts, and you have to make the most of every nook and cranny. If you just like to keep things in their own spot, then you know that organization is key, and you need the right tools to do it.

Glow In The Dark Bike – light up the night

Cycling home at night can be dangerous, but necessary. There are all sorts of precautions we like to take, whether that be reflectors, lights, or otherwise. However, that doesn’t always mean we feel like we’re going to be seen. You could always deck out your bicycle so that anyone within a half mile radius can see you, but you might want to go with something a little more subtle.

Sphericam captures your entire world

We all seem to have a fascination of recording the world around us. Each moment that passes will never come again, so we constantly take photos, video, and write down current events to make a long-standing log of everything we’ve seen and heard. However, even with this incessant memory-making, we can’t capture everything around us…or can we?

The Defender takes sandbags to a new dimension

Climate change is here. Whether or not you believe it, the evidence is plain – on-going severe droughts, steadily rising temps, rising sea levels and more frequent severe weather events like tornadoes, earthquakes and flooding. This last challenge has been addressed one of the 2012 red dot design concept winners. The Defender “sandbag” is designed for flood control. This innovative “bag” doesn’t contain sand like traditional sandbags. Made with absorbent recycled paper fiber, one long edge of its shell of…

Rechargeable Card Speaker helps boost your tunes

We all want a little boost in sound when we can get one. Louder music that fills the air, with crisp highs and lows that don’t drop out. Our phones and MP3 players can only give us so much, and if you want to be surrounded with music rather than plugging in with earphones, you’re going to need an external speaker that can travel with you throughout the day.

Paper Straws – What’s the point?

We all get a “to-go” beverage every now and then. It’s not something we really give much thought to, but there are a lot of materials that go into the cups, lids, and straws that house your beverage. If this factoid bothers you, then there’s a way that you can help lessen your contribution to a landfill. It may be a tiny gesture, but these Paper Straws are both biodegradable and compostable. They have designs that were inspired by birch…
