Shure VP83 Lenshopper: Best Audio Settings! [REVIEW]

I was very excited to try out the Shure VP83 for my DSLR. It started as a big disappointment, but eventually got a happy ending! Here are a few steps on how you get your happy ending!   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CxWf1zBBEts&feature=youtu.be   The build quality of this microphone is really good. It’s rigid, has some weight to it and it looks very professional. You get an AA-battery in the box (unless you’re living in Argentina), which is nice. My main microphone was…

The AllBe1: A Mini Security System With Cool Functions! [REVIEW]

I have to admit I was a little skeptical about this product at first, but I’m actually convinced this can be your Security Guardian! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu6vXrTqNHg&feature=youtu.be This little portable device connects via Bluetooth and is controlled by the app. Without the app, it’s useless. In the box, there are some accessories for the different functions, but no micro-USB cable, which is a bummer but simple enough to find elsewhere. It only takes an hour to charge and can run for 60…

Smaxtec – the cow implant

I’m not a farmer so I just assumed that cows sort of handled their lives themselves, showing up when it was time to get milked and hanging out chewing cud at all other times. Turns out I way underestimated how much work cows are but technology didn’t. Smaxtec is an implant that gives farmers updates on their cows.

Researchers create self-cleaning system for solar panels

As the price of solar panels continue to fall, more folks are embracing this renewable energy source. But those who jumped onboard a few years ago have learned that, over time, dirt, pollution and bird droppings can reduce the effectiveness of their solar panels as much as 35 percent! What to do? Recently a research team and some students from the University of Washington’s Department of Electrical Engineering invented an innovative process called Aquapel. Not to be confused with the…

Sensilize – see if land is good for planting without stepping foot on it

We have been using drones and the like to learn more about the world we live in by letting us capture aerial views of places that we would otherwise miss out on and this is great! But we can do more with the technology. Sensilize uses drones to help farmers learn more about their crops for better production.

Warka Water – check out this sustainable water harvesting tower

Humans have a really hard time surviving without water. It’s one of those things, like shelter and food that we REALLY need in order to stay alive but for some reason, we don’t always live in places where there is a lot water. ThermalTech Jacket – smart fabric harnesses the power of the sun

Simple science says that you’ll be warmer outside if you stand in the sun. Even in the winter it’s slightly warmer under the rays of our nearest star than it is in the shade. ThermalTech is the winter jacket that wants to boost that little bit of heat from the sun to keep you warmer outside.
