I’m writing this while listening to the latest album from Kim Dotcom which is running on a demo of his upcoming new music service, Baboom. Dotcom is rapidly moving from cool to awesome on the Richter scale of innovative dogged persistence. And it must be driving the fuddy-duddy music industry nuts.
Not another messaging app, we hear you cry. But wait, this could actually be the best thing since sliced bread, especially as it’s fully open source and the developers have committed to never charging a penny or displaying nasty adverts. Ah…see…now you’re listening…

It’s totally ridiculous how far computer games have come in a mere 30 years, but that’s not to say that snazzy graphics and out of this world audio is all you need for a great video game.
