The Official Stella Awards. The 2004 winner was Mrs  Mary Ubaudi of Madison County, Ill.,who is suing car maker Mazda for failing ‘to provide instructions regarding the safe and proper use of a seatbelt.’ Lovely. Want it Now. So eBay has just introduced a bulletin board type app which lets buyers post details of things they are looking for. Sellers can then send them a link to their auction. Needs to be email driven really, but still a neat idea.

Counter Intuit-ive.

Cory over at BoingBoing points out that the folks at Intuit, makers of Quicken, have decided they can ‘retire’ software (by crippling functionality) whenever they want, in order to force people to upgrade to new versions. This is bad. Quicken products should be boycotted immediately.
