Chromatherapy Cushion gives you a light show before bed

The aurora borealis is a beautiful light display in the Arctic and Antarctic. Many people trek from all over the world just to look at them for a short time. It has vivid lights that seamlessly ebb and flow into each other that are caused by solar winds way up in the atmosphere. Just looking at it makes you feel as if you’re in a dreamlike state.

Striiv helps you help yourself and others

We always wondered what life would be like if we were in a video game. If we could level up and gain bonuses from everyday activities, a lot more would get done in a day. While you can’t get experience points or awesome weapons, you can get a Striiv. This will give you the feeling of being in a game, but will only give you rewards based on how much you exercise.

X-Doria Campfire Stand tucks your iPad 2 into a sleeping bag

As human beings, we have a very organic shape. There are curves and slopes that conform to the things we interact with because we are squishy. It is not very surprising then that things like the iPad 2 are not very easy to snuggle up with. They have a rather cold, hard, geometric design that seems like it is only comfortable when its on a stand.

Summer always seems to be such a distant dream in the middle of winter. We always enjoy sunny weather because our moods are regulated by light. Klever Case turns your Amazon Kindle into an absolute classic

One of the depressing things about modern gadgets is the mostly bland, grey plastic design of most of the top sellers. OK, so Apple is the standout with its gorgeous designs, but for the most part consumer technology comes in any color you like as long as it’s grey drudge. What the tech world needs is more adventurous designers and marketeers, and this bunch look like they fit the bill.

Tweak Me! makes your Windows system faster and more stable [Daily Freeware]

We first covered Tweak Me! a couple of years ago, and my how it’s changed. The first thing is it’s been completely updated for the new versions of Windows, but the developer has also added in a bunch of new tools to tweak, over 180 of them in fact. It’s probably safe to say that you’ll find something here to suit your needs. As well as making the interface incredibly easy, the functionality is now bang up to date. For example…

Social Photos lets you migrate photos or albums between Facebook, Flickr and Google+ instantly

Aargh photos, they’re everywhere. Who would have thought at the dawn of the digital camera era that we’d be swamped by a literal deluge of images sitting on hard drives across the globe. I’ve got 16,000 photos which have accumulated over the years and my collection is probably minute compared to some of yours. Where did they all come from? Anyway, the number may be daunting but organising them is an absolute nightmare, especially if like me you’ve got some…

Smartphone credit card terminal is perfect for professionals on the go

If you are a contractor, consultant, or professional in general, chances are pretty high that you’ll be receiving payments whilst out and about. While it may be cash a number of times, it’s a little hard when you need to run a credit card, and donít have the proper equipment to do so. You can’t very well take a full-blown credit card machine with you, so why not look to a smaller option?

Paper Karma lets you easily banish junk mail from your doormat with your phone [Daily Freeware]

It’s easy to hate junk mail, especially when it comes cascading in through your letterbox day after day after day. It wouldn’t be so bad if it was actually interesting stuff, but it’s usually just special offers for local plumbing services or yet another real estate firm trying to scam you into some deal or another. Tedious…and apparently unstoppable. Or is it?

Music Smasher serves up all your favorite music services with one click

Look around and you’ll notice there’s no shortage of online streaming music services. In fact you could say there’s a bit of a glut, what with all these Last.fm, exfm, Grooveshark chaps and the rest hanging out trying to attract our attention. Each one offers something slightly different feature-wise, which makes it hard to pick out one service which is the definitive go-to place to beat the rest (although if we had to choose we’d still stick with the mighty Spotify).

The Logitech Mouse Double Click Problem and How To Fix It!

We’ve long had a love hate relationship with Logitech mice. On the one hand they’re ergonomically designed and feature the wonderfully useful hyperscroll wheel for sweeping through documents and web pages,¬†but¬†on the other they suffer from a fundamental fault after a few years of use, when the mouse buttons start to fail¬†(note that other mice also seem to suffer from the problem, although we’re not sure whether that’s because they’re OEM models made by the Logitech factory). Despite our rant…

This Safe Kitchen Timer turns your fridge into a statement of appreciation

There are some things which are too precious for words. Diamonds, 24 carat gold jewellery, an invitation to one of Kim Kardashian’s weddings. But for us here, there’s nothing to compare to some good old home cooking, lovingly prepared, and savoured over several meals. What you throw away leftovers? Tsk. OK so foodstuffs may not be as intrinsically valuable as a pearl necklace (ever tried exchanging a lasagna for some movie tickets?) but we’ll stick with our choice.
