HERE AR City Model – check out this living map

Is the future self driving cars? The jury’s still out on that because, well, it’s more complicated then science fiction would have you believe. Not the technology so much, the ethical questions about it all. Anyway, that’s not what the HERE AR City Model app is about, this app just shows you what it would be like experience automated driving with a living map.

Our options were may more limited back in the early days of the internet. If you were a pirating teen in the 90s, then you listened to your tunes on Winamp. Now you can again with the browser version.

Wouldn’t you love to just point your phone at something and know instantly what it is? That’s the basic premise behind Google Lens, the app that looks up your world from an image. Combining the camera on your phone and the extensive knowledge of the world wide web, Google will let you know what anything is, just by pointing your lens at it. At least that’s the concept.
