QuodPod Airline Meal Container. We’re trying to imagine being served our fish or chicken in coach class from one of these very elegant meal tray devices, and we’re failing. Why? Because every time we step onto a plane, yet another aspect of the already pathetic service has been slashed, cut, sacrificed to the altar of cost efficiency. Hey, we’re not saying it isn’t nice to fly from here to Venus for the price of a Snickers bar, but the least you could do is leave us a small shred of dignity back in cattle, darn it!
The Quodpod system is currently designed around the emerging induction oven opportunities. The induction ovens are able to rapidly steam heat the Quodpod dishes, preserving nutrients and aesthetic of the food. Cooking cycles are approximately half of those of conventional galley ovens, meaning meal turnaround time is greatly reduced. Another advantage with induction heating is that the oven itself remains cold, so the meals can be cooked shelf by shelf, as needed.
