The Olympus Stylus 1030SW digital camera features 10 megapixel resolution, is waterproof down to 33 feet, can withstand drops from 6 inches and is just about temperature indifferent. Oh and it uses XD cards for storage and has a 3.6 x optical zoom. You need more? $499.95.
The camera resists up to 220 lbs. of pressure, thanks to its rugged metal body encased in a frame pressure-sealed with rubber gaskets to prevent penetration from water, sand, dirt, and dust. A built-in manometer measures air and water pressure, displaying the readings on the LCD so you can quickly determine depth and altitude of your photographs. Using the same technology designed for professional digital SLRs, the cameras image processor delivers true-to-life color with sharper detail and less noise than typical digital cameras.
Does anyone ever drop their camera six inches or less ?
To be fair, if I dropped anything 6″ and it broke I’d be complaining to the manufacturer…

agreed, six inches is a ridiculous thing to be added to specs. I wonder if it was an error in publication or translation (“) vis-a-vis (‘).
six feet would make sense.
i think it’s a error… the 1030Sw can be dropped from about 6.6 feet.
