Ooma Hub – the plug and forget VoIP box

Oomahub2

The Ooma Hub is a VoIP Internet telephony box that you plug into your broadband line to get cheap and free phone calls. It also has an in-built answering machine and you can use your existing phone number if you keep your old phone service ticking over on a low cost plan. The box costs $249.00 and there’s also a premier service which offers stuff like call screening and 3–way conferencing. It’s obviously aimed at the technophobic crowd, but I’m not sure what advantages it has over a simple Skype Dualphone set up.

Your one-time ooma purchase of an award-winning ooma Hub device frees your phone service. You’ll get: * Unlimited US calling with no monthly fees * Bundled features, like caller-ID, call-waiting, and voicemail at no extra charge * Exceptional voice quality and reliability * The ability to hear messages from any ooma device, phone, or computer * Low-cost international rates starting at a penny per minute * Easy setup to get you up and dialing * Option to keep your current phone number or choose a new one anywhere in the US

  • Well, for $249.00, it worth to have a look. Indeed, its features are impressive and much more advanced than the current VoIP adapters and VoIP boxes.
With such exceptional features, the Ooma Hub is almost equivalent to the advanced business IP telephones available on the market and on our site.

  • Why don’t use your mobile to connect to Skype instead of this bulky Dualphone phones? Does anybody know app that turns your mobile into headset for Skype?
