Alex Ramon’s Bicycle Tutor is a new online video tutorial service which offers lots of great videos to help you fix and maintain your bicycle. It’s nicely designed, clear and well indexed, and I can see this becoming a very useful tool indeed for those who perambulate on 2 wheels not 4. I particular like the fact that there’s a community feel to the place, what with the comments and all, as though you’ve entered into a nice old bike shop on the corner of your high street and there’s a bunch of people waiting there to give you a hand to get sorted out. Very Nice Indeed. [Via Metafilter]
The purpose of this site is to help people learn how to fix their own bikes. While I don’t work in a shop anymore, I still have all of my tools and some parts so I might as well share what I know (and learn from you). I’m on the lookout for different kinds of bikes so I can cover as many different jobs as possible. I’m keeping a tidy list of all your requests and I imagine we’ll have 1-200 videos on this site over the next two years.
