Sudden Stop – super bright warning LEDs make braking safer

Suddenstop

Sudden Stop is a bolt-on array of super bright LED lights that warn following drivers if you make an emergency stop in your car. Not only are they bright, but they flash too and they’re battery operated so you don’t have to re-wire the car to install the things. Oh and the batteries last 3 years or so. $29.95.

There are 1.6 million rear-end collisions in the US every year – chances are you know someone who’s been involved in one. So how do you protect yourself when you have to slam on your brakes in a nanosecond? Sudden Stop is the answer that may help prevent you from being rear-ended. Its super-bright flashing LED lights are hard to miss – they come on instantly, sensing G-force, when you slam on your brakes. It’s a powerful alert to the driver behind you. And since they’re located around your license plate rather than with the regular brake lights, they’re extra effective in catching the eye of the driver behind you.

  • Hmm… well… not that bad, but… most cars in Europe will have emergency lights flashing if you slam on the brakes so I don’t realy see the point in this gadget…
