Flight Memory is an interesting little online service that lets you track your air travel in probably more detail than you’d like to remember, especially if you’re a member of the global warming cadre. You can store time in the air, distances, aircraft and of course destinations. Premium members can also rate the airlines, aircraft, airports and routes they travel, which makes it quite a useful resource. The German bias of the site is however evident in the fact that there are no long haul Far Eastern services in the listings, and the members rate mostly German airports and routes.
Frequent flyers will probably get a real boost out of buying their own personal FlightMemory Poster (priced from $32.00), which details their flights over a period of time, complete with airport codes (oooh) and total stats (aaahh). It’s probably safe to say this would not be a good gift for a carbon tracking business executive friend.
Flight Memory enables you to easily keep track of where you have flown and then easily produce maps showing your flight routes. We’ll also tell you your total time in the air, distance flown and even keep track of aircraft types and airlines! FlightMemory generates a logbook of your personal flights in real time. FlightMemory is great for aviation enthusiasts, flight crews, private pilots and even the casual passenger!
