This is a Micro-Jet and it may look like one of those ordinary butane powered torch thingies, and well it is, but with a twist. As well as having a waterproof piezo-electric starter (with safety catch) and a windproof flame, the best bit is you can use pretty much any standard cigarette lighter to fuel it. That’s right, inside that handle is a bog-standard, ordinary/everyday, butane cigarette lighter.

The tiny flame burns at around 1,300�C (2,400�F) and is perfect for working on delicate jewellery or electrical bits and a full lighter will last for 20 minutes they reckon. I’m sorry, but I just have to get one of these for camping trips, oh and yeah for cr�me-brul�e.

The Micro-Jet is a self-starting hand sized micro torch powered by readily available disposable butane lighters or by the refillable fuel cell which is included with the torch. The pinpoint flame of 2400F is great for electronics, jewelry, small plumbing, camping, crafts. The waterproof Piezo ignition system makes it great for outdoor use and for the tool kit.
