Peer to Peer phone service

Q: What do you get if you combine your broadband account, a Cisco ATA168 analog phone to Ethernet adapter (as above) and a free sub to the Free World Dial Up community?

A: Why you get a free phone service using standard old ADSL or cable broadband. But from a real telephone, not a mic and headphones.

And get this:
You do not need a computer and there are:
No access numbers
No two stage dialing
No pin numbers
No calling cards

Could this be the Napster (Telster anyone?) of the telephone world?

Just for you traditionalists, here’s a couple of companies offering conventional voice over IP services using the Cisco kit and broadband.
