ThruVision T5000 – concealed objects camera gets a distance upgrade

Thruvisiont5000

The ThruVision T5000 concealed objects camera can detect/uncover hidden objects on stationary or moving people from up to 25 metres away. This makes it a) a pretty powerful law enforcement tool b) a dangerous threat to privacy or c) a sign of the times. The good thing is that according to the blurb ‘no anatomical detail is revealed in the imaging process…’ which is a relief eh?

Developed to address applications both indoors and outdoors and at greater camera-subject distances, the T5000 offers stand-off screening solutions for border control, counter terrorism, asset and VIP protection. The T5000 system consists of imaging unit and remote ruggedised PC linked using standard ethernet connection. The remote PC and operator may be any distance from the camera. The T5000 displays images of concealed objects on stationary and walking subjects at various camera-subject distances to approximately 25m. As the data is transmitted to the PC via ethernet, the operator may be located at a large distance from the imager, further increasing the safety of the security professional.
