The PeeWee Laptop is a toughened, water resistant notebook computer which is designed for toddlers of 5 years and up. It comes with a cutesy vinyl cover, and a choice of customisation options like a Disney or Star Trek themed Windows XP installation. Technically it’s awright, with an Atom processor, 30GB disk, 1GB of RAM and WiFi. Unfortunately the company has no specification listed as to peanut butter and Jello resistance, so it’s definitely a purchase of faith if your little terror suffers from an inquisitive nature. Know what we mean? $499.99.
These ultra-compact, easy-to-carry laptops are child-friendly and stand up to rugged conditions. With durable, drop-proof construction, a sturdy plastic case, and water-resistant keyboard, they can go just about anywhere and be used safely by just about anyone. The PeeWee Power PC is encased in a ruggedized shell complete with a built-in carrying handle and protective vinyl cover. The two-toned dark- and light-gray chassis weighs in at 3 pounds and measures 8.7 x 7.3 x 1.5 inches
That is a cool idea and all, but how secure are the keys on the keyboard? My granddaughter has taken the keys off of three laptops.
Ok, seriously … my daughter is 3 and plays on my "real" laptop. She knows how to get online, go to nickjr, and I've downloaded a bunch of learning sites and games with desktop quick links for her. I want to get her one of her own so she'll stay off mine. Everything for toddlers are too remedial. The screens are way too small and they are really nothing more than ABC games.
$499.00 is a little high for a toddler computer.
Does anyone know where I can get a real notebook or laptop for a toddler for about 250.00?
