Snailmailr – send letters from your browser

girl reading mail

Snailmailr lets you send snail mail letters from your browser. Just fill in the addresses and get to work on the body of the letter. The rich text editor allows images, different fonts and sizes and the usual basic formatting. The letters are printed on recycled paper, stuffed into recycled envelopes and printed in full glossy colour on nice printers. It costs US$1 for up to four pages (but there’s no limit on the number of pages, you just pay more) but so far you can only have it delivered in the US. Cute.

Have you ever thought of sending a letter but then realized you didn’t have a printer or any stamps? Then you realized you’d have to walk several blocks to find a mailbox? Ugh, sometimes you just need to send a piece of mail and it shouldn’t be that hard!

  • Snailmailr doesn't appear to be working. Has anyone tried Notes To Friends (www.notestofriends.com)? They seem to be a pretty similar service, and they also seem to be functional and responsive. Send a letter online
