Track this…

Need to track and photograph something that is moving very fast? Very very fast? Then you need Toshiba’s new Active Camera System.

‘…can track an object moving at a speed of 100km an hour 15 meters away from the camera. The algorithm runs on one of dual-CPU PCs, to realize image processing at a rate of 1000fps and real-time object tracking.’

And all in ordinary lighting conditions.

Track this…

Mapamobile gives you the ability to ‘locate a mobile phone anywhere in the UK’. Once you’ve paid your 29.95 to register you can track a phone via the website, text message or by making a phone call. You can track up to 9 additional phones for 10 each p.a., and subscribers pay 30p each time they make a location request of the service.

‘Once you have completed the registration process, a text message will be sent to the mobile phone you wish to locate requesting agreement from the user. To give consent for their mobile phone to be located, the user will need to send the text message ‘Opt in’ to telephone number 83118. Once consent is given, the service will become available immediately.’

Am I the only one to come up with the idea of a hubby or wife setting this up secretly (answering their loved ones’ opt in message while they’re in the bathroom) to do a little checking?
Getting scared yet?
