Magic Wheel – Part skateboard, part scooter, part I’ve-got-no-idea

Image

The Magic Wheel has been around for a little while it seems, but I must have missed the memo. It’s a single large pneumatic tyre with a castor at the back for stability, that you ride just like a skateboard or scooter. It weighs 6kg so it’s easy to transport up stairs or onto the bus and it can travel over slightly rough ground like cobbles and grass.

Maximum rider weight is 120kg. I reckon the only thing missing is a power source, it would make a great electric scooter, ala the Yike Bike. US$222 from Brando or 119 from Magic Wheel.

A couple of years ago a Euro designer was bored and was sick and tired of everyone whizzing around on aluminum scooters. So he retired to the garden shed for a while and got to work! The end result is staggering, out came a sleek, cool scooter that when mastered made travelling effortless and at the same time grabbed everyones atttention!
