Admit it, you thought desktop publishing was dead, right? Well it’s not, and to prove it here’s the free Scribus open source desktop publishing program to play with. It does all that spot colour, CMYK, separations and full uber delicious page layout stuff, but without a huge price tag.
As is the nature of all software projects it’s not without its bugs, but at least they’re all out there in the open, so all you’ve got to do is roll up your sleeves and pitch in to lend a hand. That’s community for ya.
