Tefal Actifry – deep fat frying with just one tablespoon of oil?

This Tefal Actifry thingummy apparently can deep fry your foodstuffs using a mere tablespoon of oil. So now they’re calling it a low fat multi-cooker. Isn’t marketing awesome? It took 10 years to develop and it will probably take a mere year to pile on the pounds as you stuff yourself with low fat French Fries (can we call them that again, Martha?). $299.95.

ActiFry is the result of 10 years of research and development. It has a unique stirring paddle and pulse heat system which cooks foods to perfection. The food is evenly cooked thanks to the stirring paddle and the pulse heat system will ensure an even distribution of the oil on each piece of food. Moreover the T-fal ActiFry heating system and stirring paddle combine to cook your food to perfection, hands free! No pre-heating is required; it’s ready when you are.

  • They have twice changed it to me by breakage of the cover (because of the heat, I suppose).
Now I have put him sticky a tape metalised to cover another crack.
Although the idea is good, seems that the material is not obtained.

  • I'm not sure why so many people have had problems with the actifry, I've had mine for over a year after reading this Tefal Actifry Review and have never had any problems with it. Maybe I got lucky?
