SeeSaw – Brit Hulu offers up some tasty TV

Seesaw

The new SeeSaw online television service is in beta at the moment, and I have to say it’s not half bad. The interface is slick polished commercial, the program search and accessibility is instant, and who can complain about 19 episodes of the IT Crowd, 11 of Fawlty Towers and 52 glorious Red Dwarf shows? Just for starters.

There’s a mix of free and fee content available (£1.19 for Earth: The Power of the Planet for instance) and the image quality is excellent. Full of advertising though unfortunately, so not going to be as alluring long term as the iPlayer content.  Nevertheless, a nice effort indeed, to prove that TV is starting to fight back.
