Android is making waves in a big way, so for all of you Android folks, here’s a roundup of Tips & Tricks to make the most of your shiny smartphone.

• Techcredo Tips & Tricks. Fab list of tips for Android, some basic some not so (e.g. how to clear the custom dictionary). Bookmark it.
• MaximumPC Tips & Tricks  One point I disagree with is the suggestion to root your phone so you can use different operating system versions etc. I rooted a Pulse recently in order to install Android 2.1,  and although it worked, it now crashes a fair bit, which is a bit tedious. Rooting and customisation of your handset will become a lot of fun down the line, but right now it’s still very much for geeky risk takers only.
• PCWorld 40 Android Tips
• Android Forums Tips –  some useful stuff for beginners.
• Softpedia Tips & Tricks Part 1 –  Part II –  Part III –  Part IV
• 35 Google Nexus One Tips. The phone may be defunct, but the hints are generic and still useful.

• Android Community. One of the oldest and best.
• Android Forums. 70,000 members. Busy and useful.
• Modaco Android. Smaller, but a nice resource nevertheless.
• Android Central. Not a huge fan of the layout, but worth a look.
