Shutter Scouts – the online personal assistant for photographers

Shutter Scouts is an interesting new online service which provides a place where photographers can store their favourite scene info, grab accurate weather forecasts for a shoot location and get help with choosing a location based on a number of criteria.

It’s currently a work in progress (i.e. not yet in beta) but if you’re someone who is driven by perfect photo conditions, this could be a useful place to start.

Shutter Scouts acts like a smart notebook for photographers. If you’ve found a great location, previsualised the shot you want, and decided on the perfect conditions… why risk forgetting about that idea? Tell Shutter Scouts about the idea and we’ll monitor the weather, tides, sunset/sunrise times & directions, lunar cycle etc to predict the best time for your shot.
