Electric VW Bus – hippy wagon comes of age

Vwelectricbus

Here’s a cool 1966 vintage VW Bus uprated with electrical power for the new century. Price, about $6,000 including batteries, 50 miles range. Right on, dude!

  • Awesome!!!! I miss the sounds of the Type 2 motor but it's great to see someone try the electrical option in the larger of the vw family. How long does the charge last when you're running AC, do you still get 50 miles?

    You in CA?
