Wheego LiFe – the expensive little electric car

This Wheego Whip LiFe electric car is pretty conventional as EVs go, with a top speed of around 65mph and a range of 100 miles, but where it does stand out is in price. This 2 seater SmartCar clone is being sold at a staggering $33,000 before rebates, which is around the same as the impressive Nissan Leaf which seats five and has a heftier spec. Strange marketing.

Wheego wants to make the best electric cars in the world and educate everyone as to the practical benefits of owning and driving one. We don’t aspire to be the biggest car company, or make the fastest cars. We want to make safe, reliable and fun products without compromise. We won’t hype or exaggerate the capabilities of our electric cars. We want our customers to be happy and smart advocates for electric cars.
