Ihomephone2000

This iDECT iHomePhone 2000 is billed as the world’s first Android powered home phone, and it certainly looks to be a bit different. The thing runs stock Android operating system, has a 2.8 inch touchscreen, supports DECT cordless technology and also runs WiFi.

When you’re not using it to harass Gran for some more cash, you can use it to surf the web, listen to Net radio, watch YouTube and otherwise smartphone your landline life to the max. It’s even got a 14 minute capacity digital answering machine built in. Truly amazing. Do you still have a landline at home? Good. Priced at £99.99.

With up to eight hours talk time, 80 hours standby, the iHomePhone includes a handsfree speakerphone, digital answering machine and a ‘contacts manager’ which holds 300 contact numbers. Personal emails can also be accessed using the ‘email client function’ and for those needing a little help with organisation, there’s a clock, alarm and calendar feature.
